Optical Isolator

Polarization independent optical isolator is an optical component which allows the transmission of light in only one direction. It consists of three parts: input birefringent wedge, Faraday rotator and output birefringent wedge.

The optical isolators can be used to protect lasers or amplifiers against unwanted back-reflected and scattered light.

Polarization insensitive, single mode

Based on Faraday effect of the magneto-optic crystal

Available with different package, connector, operating wavelength and single/dual stage

Ideal for EDFA, fiber optic lasers, test and measurements

 Telcordia GR-1209-CORE and RoHS compliant
