CWDM Mux Demux are used to combine two or more wavelengths onto a single fiber, and/or separate two or more wavelengths out of a single fiber. It is widely used in MAN (metropolitan area network), LAN (local area network) and PON (passive optical network).
CWDMs are able to transport up to 18 CWDM wavelengths with a channel spacing of 20 nm in the spectrum grid from 1271 nm to 1611 nm. (For the ITU CWDM wavelength grid, please refer to ITU-T G.694.2)
