Optical Isolator

Polarization independent optical isolator is an optical component which allows the transmission of light in only one direction. It consists of three parts: input birefringent wedge, Faraday rotator and output birefringent wedge.

The optical isolators can be used to protect lasers or amplifiers against unwanted back-reflected and scattered light.

Polarization insensitive, single mode
